A multi-region storefront serving four currencies from one codebase.

Expanding into new regions meant either forking the storefront four times or building it right the first time. We built it right.

The challenge

Regional expansion meant forking the storefront

Each new market had been launched as a near-copy of the last storefront, with region-specific pricing, tax, and language patched in ad hoc. Four regions in, the maintenance burden of keeping four near-identical themes in sync had become its own project.

Our approach

One storefront, region as configuration

We rebuilt the storefront so region, currency, tax, language, and even layout variants, was a configuration layer on top of one shared codebase, not a fork of it. Adding a fifth region became a data change, not an engineering project.

The build

What shipped

A single Hydrogen storefront serving four regions and currencies through Shopify Markets, with localized content managed through a structured CMS rather than duplicated templates.
